Loving Memory of Chloe
January 6,2004 to December 12, 2004
When we bought Chloe from, she was just about 3 months old. She wasn't a little puppy, quite a little chunk in fact, but oh how we fell in love with her. We were her first family and I was going to spoil her rotten with love, toys, treats and a large pillow to sleep on. Chloe was going to grow up with Haley our 19 month old daughter just as I had grown-up with Millicent, a miniature schnauzer too that had been in my family for 15 years. Chloe became one of the family and always within reach of Haley.
But on December 12, she thought she would run around the yard and something must have caught her eye and Chloe ran into the street. She was the victim of a hit and run. Neighbors and friends were quick to help. But we couldn't save Chloe. We morn the loss of one of our family. We didn't have her long, but I know that we gave her as much love as she gave us.
Jim and Gilda heard about our loss of Chloe. They also heard about how upset we all were. Also, how the neighbors felt about Chloe and how she touched so many people that knew her.
On January 10, 2005 Jim gave us a little schnauzer puppy to replace Chloe. We picked her up at the store and I couldn't believe my eyes. How someone that was touched by our loss, could give us such a gift that would fill our hearts with joy again. She was so cute and Haley was kissing her on the nose an giving her hugs. We named her Zoië, because that was Haley's favorite movie and also she was able to call her by name.
