The French Bulldog are active, intelligent, muscular and heavy boned, with a smooth coat, and compactly built; of medium or small structure. "Frenchies" are bred primarily as pets and companions, but they also make a good watchdog. They are to some limits a smaller version of the English Bulldog. Frenchies makes good apartment dogs, but also enjoy roaming outside on a leash. French Bulldogs are wonderful companions to small children who love to play dress-up, or a lonely delivery driver looking for a lighthearted partner to ride shotgun. In a family situation they behave like a child, demanding a great deal of personal attention and interaction.
USE A SCHEDULE FOR YOUR FRENCH BULLDOG PUPPIES
Work out a schedule for you and the French Bulldog puppies. Housetraining is much easier when the French Bulldog puppies meals, exercise and playtimes are on a regular schedule throughout the day. Plan your housetraining schedule with your French Bulldog puppies and create a game plan before the French Bulldog puppies arrives. It is strongly advised that you bring your French Bulldog puppies home on a weekends (and if possible, take a week or two off) in order to devote extra time to settling in and housetraining those first few days.
PROTEIN FOR YOUR FRENCH BULLDOG PUPPIES
Proteins are chemicals made up of other chemicals know as amino acids. Puppies manufacture some amino acids in their bodies and must be supplied other in their food. Proteins from animal sources – meat and meat byproducts – are more complete and easier to extract and digest than proteins from plant sources. Proteins from the enzymes that metabolize food into energy as well as the hormones that guide carious body functions. They themselves can also be metabolized to provide energy. High protein feeds are recommended for puppies and working puppies, but too much protein can cause renal (kidney) disease and has been implicated in some temperament problems.
